What exactly do I get from one pattern?

Two files: an embroidery-look preview that shows how the design could look stitched, and line art (dark outlines on white) sized for tracing onto fabric with a light pad or water-soluble pen. Hoop and Loom members also get the line art as an SVG.

Does the AI draw my initials?

Accepted Answer

No. The AI model only makes the decorative part of the design. Your letters are typeset in the browser from real font outlines, so they are always spelled correctly and look crisp in the line art.

Is this a stitching tutorial?

Accepted Answer

No. Hoopline patterns are decorative artwork. We do not include stitch diagrams, thread charts or step-by-step instructions, so you are free to stitch them by hand or digitise them for a machine in whatever way you prefer.

How should I type a three-letter monogram?

Accepted Answer

Type the letters in the order you want to see them. For the traditional arrangement, type first name, surname, then middle initial: Hoopline sets the centre letter larger. We never interlock or mirror letters.

Why was my theme refused?

Accepted Answer

We do not make luxury or designer monograms, brand logos, characters, team, club or school crests, documents, real people, or imitations of a living artist's style. Try an everyday subject such as a lemon, a sprig or a little dog.

Do I need a card for the Free plan?

Accepted Answer

No. Free gives you 3 watermarked PNG patterns each calendar month without an account or card. It never turns into a paid plan on its own.

Question 7

How do renewals and cancelling work?

Accepted Answer

Paid plans renew every month at the price shown until you cancel. Cancel online in your account in two clicks; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and you will not be charged again. We email a receipt for every payment.

Question 8

Do unused patterns roll over?

Accepted Answer

No. Each plan includes a set number of patterns per billing period and unused patterns do not carry over. Patterns are an allowance, not money, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

If you are unhappy with your first payment, email us within 14 days and we will refund it in full provided you have made no more than 5 patterns in that period. If a pattern fails for a technical reason, tell us and we will add it back to your allowance. Your statutory rights are not affected. See the Refund Policy for details.

Can I sell towels stitched with my patterns?

Yes on Thimble, Hoop and Loom: you may use patterns you generate on products you make and sell. Free plan patterns are for personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell the pattern files themselves as patterns. See the Pattern Licence.

Question 11

Are the files marked as AI-generated?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every PNG and SVG carries a machine-readable label (IPTC digital source type in XMP metadata) stating that the motif was created with an AI model, and the generator shows the same notice on screen.

Question 12

Do you train AI on what I type?

Accepted Answer

No. Your initials, themes and patterns are never used to train AI models. Generation records are kept for 30 days so you can download again, then deleted.
